Hey, hey! Happy Friday! We almost made it to the weekend and I’m pretty stoked. I love Fridays for lots of reasons, but one reason is because it means it’s time for my Friday Favorites! It’s always fun to read what other bloggers are lovin’ this week, so I’m here to share some of my top picks.
Fresh Fish Tacos at Nopalito
The other day, Dane and I tried a new-to-us place in San Francisco, Nopalito! It’s a pretty hot spot over here, so we had to check it out to see what the dealio is. We enjoyed a glass of wine each while we nibbled on these fish tacos. The flavors were incredible! I loved the acidity of the orange paired with the spicy flavors of the jalapeño and the freshly charred fish. This was a winner!
My Vanilla, Cinnamon Protein Bars
I shared this on Instagram not too long ago (are we following each other yet?), but every Sunday I prep a batch of my vanilla, cinnamon protein bars to eat along with my bedtime snack. These are so easy to make and they taste delicious. Here’s the scoop on the recipe:
For 6 servings you just mix: 65g flour, 60g protein powder (vanilla!), 65g greek yogurt, 1egg white, 1/2tbsp baking powder, 4 packets of stevia, 1/2 cup almond milk or water, cinnamon and 1/4tsp salt! Bake at 350 for 15 mins!!
Top with chocolate syrup, maple syrup or my favorite, peanut butter!
Say what? You may be wondering what in the world peanut flour is. I order this from Amazon several times a month (affiliate link. Please see my blog disclosure) because this is such a staple in my diet. You can bake with it (use it for the protein bars above!), or make a paste out of it for dipping. My go-to is to mix 30g with several drops of stevia and salt. It creates a paste that I use to dip apple slices in. Peanut flour has a nutty taste and what’s truly great about it is that it’s extremely high in protein compared to other flours, so if you’re struggling to hit your protein macros, it’s a must!
Dark Chocolate Hershey Kisses
I think it’s pretty obvious why these make the favorites list this week. I mean, it’s chocolate! Who doesn’t love chocolate? I purchased this jumbo pack at Target a couple of weeks ago and usually have one every single night. I looooooove dark chocolate and these little kisses satisfy my daily craving!
