I totally lied to you. This post isn’t going to be completely wordless, but I want to share some photos from the past few weeks to give you some insight into my life! As a nutrition and fitness coach, I preach balance, so it’s important to me to consistently show you how I balance my life to include healthy things and not-so healthy things.
I remember back in the day when I was confused about how to eat and exercise, I would follow a ton of ‘fitness girls‘, but they only posted about working out and eating healthy. It gave me the impression that I shouldn’t be eating “bad foods” or skipping a workout because I wasn’t feeling it. News flash: we are all human and we all like to eat cake, drink wine and eat fried cheese balls, so I’m going to make sure I show you that side of my life too!
So with that, let’s kick off this not-so wordless Wednesday!
Anina just opened up in Hayes Valley and Dane and I were quick to check it out. I got the “Seafoam Spritz”, which included elderflower, salers aperitif, lime, prosecco and lemongrass. We are definitely going back- we loved it!
Lately I’ve been making super simple and healthy salads at work. This was a spring salad of bell peppers, raspberries, chopped apple, blueberries, spinach, avocado and egg whites!
It was a beautiful Saturday the other weekend, so Dane and I picked up salads and a bottle of wine and headed to Fort Mason for a lunchtime picnic! I did the “create your own” salad with romaine, chicken, beets, radish, carrots, caramelized onions, avocado and tomatoes!
A random, yet delicious weeknight dinner of roasted zucchini in parmesan, cauliflower rice with turmeric and cumin and a beef patty on top of a bed of arugula with lemon juice and pepper. This is a pretty typical weeknight dinner for me!
Today is a very special day because it’s our 3 year anniversary! I won’t get all love-sappy on you, but this blog is about my life and Dane is a big part of it. I’m pretty darn lucky to have found this guy. He makes me feel so loved, so alive and so happy. He surprised me with Warrior’s tickets this past weekend and we had such a blast at the game!
Now you tell me…
One thing you are loving today?
What is your favorite lunch meal?
What’s one thing you are feeling grateful for today?
P.S. Did you catch part 1 of my “How to Start Lifting Weights” series? Part 2 is coming Monday, so you better catch up!
