Happy Friday to you! I’m super excited for the weekend since we have a holiday on Monday. Dane and I are heading up north to celebrate the long weekend. Lots of delicious food and California wine to be consumed, which means I’ll be doing this:
As per usual on Fridays, today I’m sharing another round of things I’m loving this week and some great new finds for you to try!
Mikey’s Paleo Muffin Tops and English Muffins:
I was pretty stoked to try Mikey’s products after finding them on Instagram. They have a huge selection of sweet muffin tops and english muffins that happen to be paleo and full of filling fats and protein. The macro profile is great and the flavors are incredible! I had an onion english muffin for lunch last week and was instantly hooked. The texture is dense, corn-bready and doesn’t crumble like most paleo bread products I’ve tried. I also love how one english muffin has 7g of fat! I’m a huge believer in getting lots of fats into my daily diet, so I was very happy about that.
I also smeared some cashew butter on the chocolate chip muffin top and it was heavenly. Mikey’s products are officially This Fit Chick approved!
Bumble and Bumble Cleansing Oil:
I received this product through Influenster to try out. I dye my hair (I’m a natural brunette!), so I’m very careful when trying new hair products so that I don’t strip my color. This is a sulfate free cleansing oil that you’re meant to use for every other shampoo wash to remove debris and buildup. I’ve never tried a product like this, but I think it’s a great idea especially in the summer when build up tends to get the worst. It smells great and I’m going to keep using it throughout the summer!
Candle Wine Topper:
This is a silly one, but Dane and I found these at a random store in the Marina last weekend and we thought it was genius. It’s a candle wine stopper, so while you’re waiting to pour another glass, you can enjoy a beautiful candle on the bottle itself, hah!
Marcona Almonds:
I’ve been eating these with my healthy dinners and clearly I can’t get enough. Dane and I went to Resolute wine bar the other weekend and ordered some marcona almonds with salt and olive oil to have alongside our wine flights. They are so delicious, nutty and full of healthy fats!
I also found rosemary and olive oil flavored marcona almonds at Trader Joe’s this past weekend and sprinkled them on a side salad with dinner this week. The rosemary flavor really came out and added some oomph to the salad!
Now you tell me…
What’s your favorite spread to smear on an english muffin?
Marcona almonds: YAY or NAY?
What is your favorite hair product?
When I was younger I used to make PB&J english muffins almost every morning before school. I was obsessed. I don’t think I have ever had marcona almonds? But I am assuming I would love them. My favorite hair product is my dry shampoo for sure. I love that candle wine topper – so cute!
Have the BEST weekend! That sounds like so much fun. So jealous you live so close to the wineries and can go to them so often.
They are delicious! And pb and j is a combo you just can’t beat 🙂
I love marcona almonds, such a delicious snack, and great on salads and cheese boards. I have been into sunflower butter recently, but basically just rotate around with different nut butters. The hubs is all about peanut butter and honey on english muffins.
Sunflower butter is delicious! Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve had it!
I always say why eat the whole muffin when you can have a muffin top!
Hah! The tops are the best part!
I like an english muffin with butter. I used to want them with jelly but butter has been my jam (pun intended) as of late =) Have a great long weekend!
Hah!! Love butter as a simple topping!
I am old fashioned with PB and J! Love it on rice cakes too for a quick pre-run bite. As for my favourite hair product, I’d have to say coconut oil! Not really a hair specific product but it is good for everything!
I use coconut oil on my hair too!! That stuff is so versatile!
