Hello Monday! I had an awesome weekend in Lake Tahoe with Dane’s family. It felt so darn good to get out of this hectic city and head to the quiet mountains. Highlights included a boat ride to an outdoor lakefront lunch spot and two wonderful dinners.
As per usual on Mondays, today is another recipes, round-ups and Q+A post. This is where I showcase some interesting links from around the web, throwback to some old posts of mine, answer your anonymous questions and highlight some yummy recipes I find on the web!
Around the web:

Now you tell me…
Mountains or beach?
BBQ sauce or ketchup?
What did you eat for breakfast this morning?
I read that health and your period post last week and learned SO much! There are so many things I wish I would have known before going on the pill! And UH ketchup is one of those foods I can’t stand, I never liked it growing up, but I like tomatoes and BBQ sauce, so weird. Have a great week Carrie!
Hah, no way! I love ketchup, but I used to hate it. BBQ sauce is awesome!
Hi Carrie! Yay for a weekend getaway for you! The weather was actually really nice in Walnut Creek, so I didn’t mind staying put. Thanks for sharing my post, lady! Happy Monday to YOU!!
Glad to hear it was nice! It’s been weird in the city. Some hot days, some really cold days! Hope you have a lovely Monday!
Ah I love Lake Tahoe – so cool you spent the weekend there. I bet it was beautiful.
I prefer the mountains over the beach for a vaca. I love hiking!
And for breakfast this morning I had a hot coffee from Starbucks and a Quest Bar š have a great Monday!
It was gorgeous!! Such a cozy spot. I love Quest Bars!
Hmmmmm. I would probably say mountains over the beach. I like the cool air. BBQ sauce for sure, I don’t like ketchup and I could drink BBQ sauce š And for breakfast I had peanut butter overnight oats with strawberries.
I love that you have been linking to posts on hypothalamic amenorrhea recently. I suffered from this after a terrible eating disorder and luckily I found a group of amazing women with the same problem that helped me to get over it. If you haven’t read the book “No Period, Now What?” by Nicola Rinaldi you should. It’s amazing š
Ditto on the mountains! I haven’t heard of that book, but I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the recommendation!
Love the round up! Hope you had a great weekend!
Love the round up! I was reading the “stop following fitness gal’s” post (amazing btw, sounds like just me and I’m sure most other girls here…) and was wondering if you could post info on the articles you found helpful to you? You mentioned that you stated doing research on people with credentials and took away some philosophies that helped shape your routine today, could you do a post on that? I’d be interested in reading them!
Hi Kelli! Great suggestion. I will certainly add that to my idea list. For now, I would look at Layne Norton and his team. Great resource!
Looks like a great weekend! I have been having picky plates recently for breakfast, with hard boiled eggs, almonds and fruit, delicious!
Totally love plates with lots of flavors too!
