Scenes from the Weekend + BLOG MAKEOVER

I’M BACK! And if you’ve been to my site before, you can clearly see that things are looking a LOT different over here. This baby just got a huge makeover with the help of Jenn! I haven’t blogged in a solid year— shameful, I know. I’ve still been working with clients through my training and nutrition coaching, but my blog has taken a huge backseat and I’m not happy about it. I’ve re-designed my site and I’m ready to focus more on blogging again and re-connect with the blogger community that I miss!

Quick little nutshell about me for those who are new to my site: I’m a 23 year old gal living in San Francisco. I work full-time in software sales and part-time as a health coach. You can read more about my story here. I live with my partner in crime and absolute rock, Dane. He will certainly be making appearances on the blog. Some things I love: weight lifting, exploring restaurants and bars, peanut butter, scented candles, wine, flannel pajamas and every show on Bravo.

After work on Friday, Dane and I headed over to the Fermentation Lab to grab some drinks. I’m not a beer gal and I really wish I was, but I just can’t get into it, so I had a few glasses of wine while Dane tried out some of their craft brews. It was a great little spot to unwind from the week!

I LOVE wine and I while I don’t drink during the week, I do drink on the weekends. Yes, I’m a health coach, but I’m all about balance. I love to eat fun foods and drinks and if anything, I want this blog to show you how you can still maintain a healthy lifestyle while enjoying the fun things like sliders, flatbreads, wine, cocktails and my absolute favorite, cheese and charcuterie boards.

Saturday started off with breakfast, Shark Tank and coffee. I’ve been eating the same breakfast for over a year now and there are no plans to change it as of now. I’m definitely a creature of habit most of the time and breakfast is no exception. I eat three hard-boiled eggs with two tablespoons of peanut butter (this is my favorite peanut butter!) (sometimes I’ll do peanut butter and peanut flour paste— more on that later!)

Other activities from the weekend include…

Getting a mani (pedi for Dane) as a surprise treat! Dane and I made a bet back in December on a football game… I WON, so Dane had to plan a full day for me. It started off with this treat and I decided to go with a “Tiffany” blue color— I love it!

Drinks at Beretta (gin, soda and lime)…

Lunch at Foreign Cinema…This place is highly rated in SF and we didn’t have a great experience. We were cramped at the bar, the food was lack-luster, my wine glass was 1/4 filled and it was pricey! We will not be going back…

We decided to split the smoked salmon with spelt toast, chicken and sage sausage and beef carpaccio…

Cocktails at Teeth! These were delicious. I went with the Vodka Blackberry Fizz and Dane with with a vodka and grapefruit drink.
